Be sure to pick a victim / donor key that you won't mind possibly messing up. If you do it that way, manually, you don't need to bother dl'ing Smartkeys.Įdit 3: Sorry - forgot to mention, this changes the binding of the key for EVERYTHING in Windows, not just this one game. I think if you want to do the same thing I did with Pause and Insert, then you can just copy over that string of garbage written above to the Scancode Map entry in your Registry. No biggie since I don't recall any games using Insert, nor any office apps using Pause. Note that the Pause key still worked in the game, alongside Insert, since I didn't bother to turn it off. I then manually edited it (right-click -> Modify Binary Data) so my binary entry reads:Ġ0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 1D E1 52 E0 46 E0 52 E0 00 00 00 00Īgain, this is to move the Pause key function over to the Insert key. You may want to check out more software, such as Floriani Total Control U, Totally Rad Dirty Pictures or Total Annihilation Zero, which might be related to Total Control. On that page, it tells you where to go in the Registry to find the specific entry, called "Scancode Map". What it won't do is the E1_1D setting - that one you gotta do by hand.

Smartkeys allows you to easily make the binding between E0_46 and whatever other key you want. If you go to the page I linked earlier, it talks about the Smartkeys program, and also dinking around manually within the Registry to make the changes, and that's exactly what I had to do. Most entertainment centres such as karaokes, pubs and nightclubs have been closed since the start of the first movement control order (MCO) last year.
#TOTAL ANNIHILATION CONTROLS HOW TO#
I don't have a good way to describe how to do it. It estimated that at least 150,000 to 250,000 jobs were at stake as the nightclubs and pubs reach total annihilation, which would then place additional unnecessary burdens on the government to support the unemployed. I was thinking the other way around, moving functionality "from" this key "to" that one. When looking at the columns "From" and "To", you're taking the key in the From column and making it function as the key shown in the To column. Back to the Registry.Įdit 2: Success! Yup, I had it backwards. I'm trying to map the Pause key function over to the Insert key since I never use that one, but the example on the site shows I was turning my Pause key into Insert. I think I'm on the right track but am screwing something up.Įdit: D'oh, I think I was doing it backwards. After farting around a bit the only thing I managed to accomplish was to take away my Pause key functionality. 20 Games Like Total Annihilation (1997) Supreme Commander For a millennium, three opposing forces of humanity-the Cybran Nation, the Aeon Illuminate and the United Earth Federation-have fought a bitter and bloody war over conflicting and unwavering systems of belief. Figures, Pause is some special exception. I tried using Smartkeys on its own but it appears this is not enough to handle Pause.
